Symphonic Band & Jazz Band

Symphonic Band and Jazz Bands are off to a great start! Symphonic Band has a very busy performance schedule between now and winter break. First is the Halloween concert on Oct. 30th at 7:00. This is a fun event where band members are encouraged to dress in costume. There will be prizes! Shortly after that is the annual Veterans Day concert on Nov. 10th at 7:00. This is a serious and reverent tribute to our country's veterans. Members of the Lisle VFW will be on hand to post colors. The Holiday concert is on Dec. 16th at 7:00. This is a combined concert with the choirs and is always an audience favorite.
The Jazz Bands have their first performances in February for Cabaret night. Any students who are interested in joining Jazz Band may still do so. Rehearsals are Tues. & Wed. mornings for Jazz Band 1 (7th & 8th grade) and Thurs. & Fri. mornings for Jazz Band 'Too' (6th grade).
Please check your school calendars and Band Handbook calendar for all of the important performance dates for the year. The handbooks were passed out at the beginning of the year. There is a parent signature page to be returned. Also, if any parents have not send their e-mail address to me, please do so. This will allow me to keep in communication with you on a regular basis.
