LRC Welcome
by Rich Marx
Welcome to the Lisle Junior High School Library Resource Center. Take a tour of the LRC on-line or stop in to see what all the buzz is about. The LRC continues to be whir of activity before school. You'll find, on average, fifty junior high students every day in the LRC before school working in the LRC computer lab on classroom projects, or relaxing and visiting with friends, or browsing the collections in search of that special book to read, or playing a variety of available board games. Our LRC computer lab's new configuration has made it much easier for staff members to use for presentations. All of the computer stations face one direction and a new larger viewing screen is available for use with a ceiling mounted projector. Each computer station is equipped with headphones and comfortable cushioned chairs that are adjustable to accommodate everyone. In the LRC our cherry wood tables and light weight cushioned chairs provide us with flexibility for the various seating configurations used throughout the year.
The sounds of our water feature and background music are the perfect mix for sophistication and comfort...it's a great place to sit and relax while reading a good book or magazine, work on assignments, or to do your research anytime....whether before or after school!
Catch up on the latest LRC information by reading our monthly newsletter, "Between the Pages" and by visiting this website. We will provide you with the latest info about the LRC's happenings, new reading materials, book & website reviews, and give you a peak at the buzz of daily activities.
