**Please encourage your child to write in their assignment notebook each day so that you can check it at home. You may want to encourage your child to bring home any assignments they have completed in class so that you may review them for completeness and accuracy.**

**In L.A., a vocabulary unit is assigned every Friday (students are given time in class to get started) and is due on the following Wednesday. A vocabulary test and a spelling test are given over the unit every Friday. Students should be practicing the vocabulary definitions and spellings of these words throughout the week.**
