NON-ATTENDANCE DAY
Conference Times: 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. (per your scheduled time)
Conference time is a perfect occasion to discuss report cards, achievement, behavior, and academic standards. That being said, we realize that some folks may need additional conference time over the scheduled 15 minutes. If that is necessary please remember that teachers are always available to meet to discuss student progress and may be reached via phone or email to arrange an additional meeting.
Schiesher Elementary School will conduct a LOCKDOWN DRILL on Monday, December 1st. Lockdown drills are conducted to help us prepare for an intruder in the building or for a dangerous situation on the perimeter of the school building. As with all disaster drills, it is imperative that we practice this drill in order to become familiar with procedures and expectations of students and staff. Teachers will be discussing the drill and preparing the students prior to the drill.
We are please to announce that we will have an anti-bullying assembly for students on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:15 a.m. The goal of this assembly is to create a common vocabulary for the issue of bullying and educate students so they will be able to recognize and overcome its effects.
