Hello, my name is Arlene Leonard and I have been teaching general music and chorus for twelve years. Each year in kindergarten, Third grade, Fourth grade, and Fifth grade music classes, the students and I will engage in a variety of music activities. These activities will include singing, movement, games, playing instruments, improvising, composing, and performing a music program.
The fourth and fifth grade students also have an opportunity to join the Schiesher choruses. Each chorus meets before school two mornings a week. In chorus, we are able to go further in becoming better singers by working on posture, breathing, tone production, harmony, and reading music. We perform several concerts with many styles of music.
